By
theory, all inclusive vacation packages are travels that are meant to be: there
should be nothing to worry about for the rest of your stay and there will be
plenty of things to enjoy, all day and all night.
The
idea is to forget spending anything during your stay and leaving your money in
your wallet in your room. The deal is to have one price to include your gourmet
meals, endless activities, entertainment and more.
What’s included
The
main deal is straight and simple: staying at an all inclusive vacation packages resort means
paying for one flat price for your room, all meals and drinks included. But
these are just the main events, the beginning of tons of activities and
entertainment.
The
one-time fee also covers the payment for taxes and tips, so you will not be
shocked by hidden fees come check out time. Many upscale resort places add
excursions and other luxury perks to the package. The European plan resorts do
not include meals, drinks, and taxes in their quoted price.
Choosing
all-inclusive
For
one, the package certainly makes the deal very convenient. The main point
however, is the total experience. These resorts go above and beyond to provide
you with excellent service. (Think butlers, 24-hour room service.)
They
also have organized activities and can provide the kids with great destinations
for the families who are bringing along the young set. There are also
adult-sonly resorts or even adults-only sections that give couples some time
for themselves minus the distractions.
Other amenities
Many
other high-end all-inclusive resorts include golf greens fees, spa services,
motorized water sports, scuba dives and even including Internet services
(wireless). Where these are not included, you can often take advantage of
resort credit offers that practically make these extras free.
The
taxes on accommodations and meals are included. For items that are paid for
with resort credit, you may have to pay for them separately.
Those resorts with descriptions like “Stay at one< play in two” have exchange privileges and transportation between nearly properties. The idea is to make you and your family enjoys even more restaurants, activities and entertainment.
Dining details
Some
resorts have specialty restaurants and these usually may require reservations.
The others may also include an extra fee.
Modest
all-inclusive resorts will tend more usually to buffet dining. Higher-end
resorts will include more a la carte options in their package price.
The
house wines and other spirits will definitely be included in your package. However, you have to pay more or use resort
credits if you want premium wine or spirits.
Finding all-inclusive
places
In
the Western Hemisphere, there are many all-inclusive resorts scattered all over
Mexico, Central America and in most Caribbean islands. For all-inclusive places
that do without the need for passports, there are options found in the U.S.
Virgin Island.
Many all-inclusive brands have several different properties. If you find one you like, you can travel somewhere different each year and be confident that you will be getting the same level of service like the all-inclusive packages you know.
